The South African born artist Elizabeth Miller-Vermeulen is currently working from her studio near Cape Town in an intriguing space reminiscent of a medieval cottage.
She is known for her finely detailed conté drawings, miniature abstract landscapes and emotive portraits. Her work is characterised by dreamlike atmospheres and texturised details. Working in mostly near-neutral hues of acrylics and charcoal she adds accents of blue, purple or red.
Elizabeth has participated in more than fifty group exhibitions and contributed to various art fairs. Having had five solo shows her work is represented in local and international private collections. She has also been involved in managing art galleries and has curated numerous exhibitions.
